Takeaways & Results from the Virginia Primaries
Let's catch up on everything that went down in the Commonwealth of Virginia on Tuesday.
With the final ballots cast in the Democratic primaries yesterday, Democrats now have their statewide slate of candidates going into the November general election. Virginia Navigate has mapped out the results to the precinct level, showing the margin of victory for each candidate in the House of Delegates and statewide contests by margin and county.
New analysis from Chaz Nuttycombe lists the three most important takeaways from the Virginia Democratic statewide primaries. As the general election begins, make sure to check out what sticks out the most in this original analysis.
State Navigate is also proud to be the first outlet to call most House of Delegates races last night as well as the race for Attorney General. State Navigate also beat the AP & DDHQ in calling the race for Lieutenant Governor. Our call team of Chaz Nuttycombe, Michael Foley, Ryan Brune, Sam Shirazi, and Jack Kersting put their heads together, ran the math, and put out race calls as quickly and safely as possible.
With the primary now behind us, Virginia Navigate now turns to the general election. Over the next few weeks, we’ll be focusing on raising money to conduct a nonpartisan public poll of the general election, and preparing our forecasts for our June 29th forecast launch fundraiser in Hanover County.
Yours in service,
